Ambiente 2026 in Frankfurt: the future of sustainability meets Italian design

There are trade fairs that open your eyes. And then there is Ambiente in Frankfurt, which opens up the whole world. From February 6 to 10, we brought our revolution to Germany: products made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials, proving that circular economy and beauty can move forward together.

These were intense days, full of meetings, discussions and discoveries at what is universally recognized as one of the most important global events in the sector. Not just a commercial showcase, but a true observatory on the present and future of household goods, where ideas move as fast as people and every stand tells a vision of the world.

And this year, for Biesse Home, the story to tell was particularly important: our choice to move toward a production model based on the circular economy, where recycled plastic becomes design, where environmental responsibility meets Italian beauty, and where technological innovation blends with over fifty years of manufacturing experience.

The big news: when recycling becomes excellence

We did not come to Ambiente simply with a new collection or a restyling of existing products. We arrived with a material revolution that represents one of the most ambitious projects in our company’s history. We presented our new line of bowls, jars, salad bowls and containers, made with an innovative material containing up to 75% recycled polystyrene. Not generic “recycled” plastic in a vague or unverifiable sense, but 100% post-consumer plastic: collected, selected, processed and transformed into high-quality new raw material.

Behind this innovation lies an advanced mechanical recycling process that plays a fundamental role in the plastic life cycle. This is not downcycling—degrading material for lower-value uses—but a true paradigm shift, integrating our products into a circular economy whose guiding principles are the recovery of post-consumer and post-industrial materials and their transformation into new raw materials without compromising performance. This method makes it possible to:

  • Extend the life cycle of materials.
  • Drastically reduce the use of virgin raw materials, easing extraction pressure on the planet.
  • Limit CO₂ consumption by avoiding emissions linked to the production of virgin plastic from fossil sources.
  • Offer high-performance sustainable solutions for various industrial applications.

The result is products certified as 100% recycled and recyclable: each item can be recycled again at the end of its life, perfectly closing the loop of the circular economy. Moreover, the products are certified 100% food contact—an essential requirement for items intended to hold food. Recycled plastic has reached quality and safety standards that allow it to be approved for direct food contact, ensuring maximum consumer safety.

The Bottles win over Ambiente with their mix of design and function

What attracted the greatest attention from industry professionals and caught the eyes of visitors were our Bottles. They did not go unnoticed—quite the opposite: they sparked the reaction every designer dreams of—amazement followed by curiosity, beauty turning into questions, objects that start conversations. The Bottles attract through their shape, win people over with elegance and surprise with functionality.

They became the starting point for meaningful discussions about materials, processes and new visions of the home. No longer silent products on a shelf, but objects that tell stories, open debates and create connections. The days in Frankfurt were intense and rich in content and exchanges that left a lasting impression. We returned home with new contacts, visions and perspectives, fully aware that the path we have taken—one shaped by responsibility, innovation and circular thinking—is only just beginning.
